Loan Originator:

Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Loan Originator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for interviewing applicants, collecting and analyzing financial, credit and related data and guiding borrowers through the loan application process, ensuring they receive the best financing options tailored to fit their needs. You will also be expected to develop and maintain a referral network of real estate agents, brokers, builders, and other sources as well as participate in the Bank’s business development activities and promote the Bank’s favorable image, be active within the communities we serve and participate in various organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, Rotary Clubs, and the like.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • AAS Business Administration, Finance or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years previous experience in the Banking Industry
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous experience in loan origination including sales, loan processing, underwriting, and closing

 

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Solid knowledge of loan products as well as FHLMC, FNMA, FHA, VA and SONYMA guidelines
  • Desire to be successful with a willingness to learn and a proactive disposition
  • Ability to work in a team setting
  • Knowledge of the market and the ability to identify and engage with potential sales opportunities
  • The ability to develop, retain and expand relationships with Centers of Influence
  • Ability to acquire new business by prospecting in assigned territory
  • Ability to work self-directed

 

Base Salary: $40,000 plus Commissions

Universal Banker – FT (Saugerties Branch)

Description

The Universal Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while performing a variety of banking functions, including teller transactions, account opening, relationship building, and financial product referrals. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers, helping identify financial needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and deepen relationships.

 

Education & Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, must have at least 1-year cash handling experience, customer service and sales experience in a financial institution or retail environment. Previous banking/teller experience is preferred.

 

Skills: Demonstrated excellence in customer service, communication, and interpersonal relations. Ability to understand and apply banking regulations, policies, and procedures; maintain accuracy in cash handling and transaction processing; follow detailed instructions; effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; and utilize basic computer applications and banking systems.
